Growing up in a male dominated culture meant that my childhood was severely affected by abuse, misogyny, and guilt. There was a lot of darkness, loneliness and pain. As phases of life changed and I grew through my teenage years into adulthood, I realized that the experience I had left me with PTSD symptoms.
No road to recovery is easy, and it’s not usually quick. Sometimes, years of perseverance, hard work, and support need to come together. However, most importantly, you should know that you don’t have to heal alone. In fact, speaking to a therapist can make the journey much easier. My experiences fueled me with a desire and a passion for offering my hand and helping others to heal from trauma. I know what it’s like to persevere and feel the ups and downs of recovery. I also know how confusing and taxing the process can be.
My Credentials
The drive to make sure no one has to struggle alone led me to earn a master’s in social work. Consequently, I began working as a therapist at several mental health facilities and eventually, I was running the professional practice I have today. Having worked in addiction centers and with people at all stages of life, I aim to make my practice a safe space where you can feel open and hopeful. Even more importantly though, I want you to feel encouraged and valued by a therapist who truly cares.
